Welcome

The Robison and Mazei-Robison Labs use the mouse model to study the role of changes in gene expression and protein function in the mesolimbic dopamine system and the hippocampus in behaviors as varied as the comorbidity of opiate abuse with PTSD and spatial learning and memory. We use genetically modified mice, viral expression vectors, biochemistry, electrophysiology, and complex microscopy to integrate individual gene function, macromolecular complexes, whole cells, and animal behavior to uncover novel mechanisms of brain function.
